
MAZOWE DAM RESORT HOSTS LAUNCH OF FESTIVE SEASON TRAVEL CAMPAIGN
On Saturday 16 November 2024, the picturesque Mazowe Dam Resort provided the perfect backdrop for the official launch of the Domestic Tourism Festive Season Travel Campaign. Organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, the event set a vibrant tone, encouraging Zimbabweans to explore the country’s diverse tourism offerings.
Government ministers were among the distinguished guests who graced the occasion, welcoming the initiative and expressing their support for domestic tourism. The highlight of the event was the exhilarating launch led by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Barbara Rwodzi. Through captivating song and dance performances, the minister encapsulated the true spirit of tourism, igniting a sense of excitement and anticipation among the attendees.
The centerpiece of the campaign is the theme, “Travel Zimbabwe,” which aims to inspire Zimbabweans to discover the hidden gems within their own country. Through the promotion of domestic tourism, the campaign seeks to stimulate economic growth and create employment opportunities within the tourism industry.
The Airports Company of Zimbabwe (ACZ) played a crucial role in the campaign, recognizing its significant contribution to the tourism sector. As a facilitator of air travel within the country, ACZ is committed to supporting the growth of domestic tourism by providing efficient and convenient air transportation services.
It is hoped that showcasing the beauty and diversity of Zimbabwe’s tourism destinations, will enable the Domestic Tourism Festive Season Travel Campaign to encourage Zimbabweans to embark on unforgettable journeys within their own country.
