Free to Be Wild, a wildlife orphan rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, is always in need of support from around the world. Volunteering at Free to Be Wild

From bottle-feeding baby monkeys to assisting with bush walks and feeding regimes, volunteers play a crucial role in the rehabilitation process. They can also observe in any veterinary work under their veterinarian Dr Nedi, gaining valuable insights into the sanctuary’s operations.

One recent volunteer, Holly, shared her incredible experience: “Free to Be Wild is a slice of heaven. I rescued Beans, a baby Vervet monkey, and nursed him back to health. I also helped build new enclosures and went on daily bush walks with the baboons. It was an unforgettable experience.”
