A NEW HAVEN FOR TRAVELERS ON THE KARIBA ROUTE
A new family-run guest lodge and camp site, Casa Da Rocha, has opened its doors at 12 Glinton Road, Greencroft, offering a welcoming stop for travellers en-route to Kariba and Mana Pools. Founded by Arthur Da Rocha, Theresa Da Rocha, and Robin Barrett, Casa Da Rocha aims to become Harare’s premier campsite and guest house, built on decades of combined hospitality experience from both the UK and Zimbabwe.
Casa Da Rocha provides diverse accommodation options, including a spacious camp site and comfortable guest house rooms, catering specifically to overlanders and those with “big rigs”. The facility boasts an array of amenities designed for comfort and convenience, such as self-catering rooms, a refreshing swimming pool, hot showers, a communal kitchen, and braai utilities. The team emphasizes a friendly community atmosphere, inviting guests for anything from pitching a tent for the night to enjoying a comfortable stay in one of their suites, or even just a cup of coffee.
The project, described as “ongoing and developing,” is driven by a vision to create more than just a lodge – a true community for travellers passing through Harare. Casa Da Rocha focuses on providing personal and quality service, aiming to offer unique activities alongside its comfortable family suites and ample space for campers. This new establishment positions itself as a welcoming gateway for those exploring Zimbabwe’s stunning natural attractions.
