ZTA LAUNCHES DIGITAL PLATFORMS AHEAD OF OSAKA EXPO

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) has officially launched the dedicated website and mobile application for Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, marking a pivotal moment in the nation’s preparations for the highly anticipated global event.

The launch, held in Harare on March 11, 2025, sets the stage for Zimbabwe’s participation in the expo, scheduled to run from April 13 to October 13, 2025. Dr. Takaruza Munyanyiwa, Secretary for Tourism and Hospitality Industry, warmly welcomed delegates, underscoring the expo’s significance in fostering international collaboration and strengthening global ties.

The digital platforms are designed to provide comprehensive information about Zimbabwe’s pavilion and its contributions to the expo’s overarching themes.

Mr. Allan Majuru, Zimbabwe Pavilion Commissioner General, elaborated on the expo’s potential to drive collaboration and spark innovation across various sectors. He highlighted the opportunities for Zimbabwean businesses and organizations to showcase their capabilities and explore potential partnerships with international counterparts.

Ambassador A.R. Chimbindi, Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, graced the event as the Guest of Honor, emphasizing the importance of active participation in Expo 2025 Osaka for Zimbabwe’s economic growth and cultural exchange.

The expo’s theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” encapsulated in the phrase “Beyond the Limits,” will serve as a platform for showcasing groundbreaking ideas and cutting-edge technologies aimed at addressing pressing societal challenges.

Zimbabwe’s presence at the expo will focus on highlighting its advancements in key areas such as sustainability, smart city development, and healthcare innovation, aligning with the global agenda for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future.
