Embark on a Journey of Empowerment and Discovery in Zimbabwe
In a ground-breaking move to empower local communities and unlock the hidden treasures of Zimbabwe, the government has approved the Tourism Amendment Bill. Presented by Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Barbra Rwodzi, this bill aims to ensure that Zimbabweans benefit from the abundant tourism resources within the country.
With a focus on inclusive national development, particularly in marginalised areas, the Tourism Amendment Bill aligns with the constitutional mandate outlined in Section 13 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe. This legislation also incorporates principles of public administration and leadership, as well as enhancing the ease of doing business in the tourism sector in line with Vision 2030.
Meanwhile, a transformative initiative is underway in Binga District, Matabeleland North Province, as highlighted in the second edition of the Special Report on the Implementation of Binga Development Initiatives. Spearheaded by Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Lovemore Matuke, this project aims to bridge infrastructure and socio-economic gaps in the region.
In Binga, 21 development initiatives have been identified and implemented in the district. From road rehabilitation to healthcare facility refurbishment, and from community radio stations to craft centres, these projects are set to revolutionise the area and pave the way for a brighter future.
Join us on a journey of resilience and progress as Zimbabwe embraces sustainable tourism and community empowerment. Discover the hidden gems of this beautiful land and witness the positive impact of these initiatives on local communities. Experience the spirit of growth and prosperity as Zimbabwe opens its doors to a new era of inclusive development.
