ZIMPARKS STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP WITH KEY EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS
The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) has officially announced a significant bolstering of its executive team with the appointment of two highly accomplished professionals to lead its communications and technology departments.
Effective from April 1, 2026, the Authority has welcomed Mr. Luckmore Safuli as the new Public Relations Manager and Ms. Pauline Matinhure as the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Manager. These strategic placements signify a renewed commitment by ZimParks to modernize its operations and enhance its engagement with both local and international stakeholders.
Mr. Luckmore Safuli joins the Authority as a distinguished communications specialist with a career deeply rooted in wildlife conservation and the media. His impressive portfolio includes pivotal roles at the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA) Secretariat, and the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC).
Mr. Safuli is academically formidable, holding a Master’s in Business Administration from Midlands State University, alongside a BSc in Journalism and Media Studies and a certificate in Project Management. His excellence in the field is well-documented through various accolades, including being named the Projects Reporter of the Year in 2016. Under his leadership, ZimParks aims to foster a greater sense of shared responsibility for protecting the nation’s wildlife heritage through transparent and dynamic media engagement.
Equally impressive is the appointment of Ms. Pauline Matinhure, who steps into the role of ICT Manager. As a highly experienced professional within the public sector, Ms. Matinhure brings a wealth of knowledge from her time in the energy and wildlife conservation industries. Her academic credentials are extensive, featuring a Master of Science in Engineering Project Management from Chinhoyi University of Technology and a Master of Commerce in Information Systems Management from Midlands State University. Her technical expertise spans critical areas such as information security, data protection, and systems integration.
In an era where digital governance and data-driven conservation are paramount, her role will be essential in streamlining the Authority’s internal processes and protecting sensitive organizational data.
The Authority has expressed immense confidence in both appointees, noting that their combined expertise will be instrumental in driving the organization’s growth. ZimParks is integrating sophisticated ICT infrastructure with a robust public relations strategy, to position itself to better navigate the complexities of modern conservation.
The leadership transition reflects a broader vision of “Harmony with Nature,” ensuring that the management of Zimbabwe’s natural resources is supported by world-class professional standards and innovative technological solutions.
