ZIMBABWE PAVILION SHINES BRIGHT AT OSAKA EXPO

Zimbabwe has truly stolen the show at the ongoing Osaka 2025 Expo in Japan, with its vibrant Pavilion becoming an absolute magnet for visitors. Over half a million people, that’s right, half a million, have flocked to the Zimbabwean display during its two-week run, making it a standout attraction at this major international tourism showcase.

The man of the moment, the Secretary for Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Dr. Takaruza Munyanyiwa, has just wrapped up a power-packed, week-long visit to the Expo. He was right there in the thick of it, front and centre, tirelessly punting our beautiful country’s diverse tourism assets and those unique heritage experiences that truly set us apart. Since it kicked off in April, the Expo has already pulled in a staggering 11.5 million attendees, and for Zimbabwe to have captured the attention of over 500,000 of them is just phenomenal.

Dr. Munyanyiwa wasn’t just observing; he was hands-on, engaging directly with the crowds, sharing his optimism that this massive exposure will definitely bring meaningful results for Zimbabwe’s tourism sector. He couldn’t stop raving about the overwhelmingly positive response, highlighting it as a clear sign that the world is finally waking up to the Zimbabwe brand. “The interest is palpable, it’s growing, and it’s a clear indication that global recognition of the Zimbabwe brand is steadily rising,” Dr. Munyanyiwa remarked, beaming with pride.
