ZIMBABWE CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION IN AFRICA’S EDEN NORTH AMERICAN ROADSHOW 2026
The Africa’s Eden North America Roadshow 2026 is set to welcome more than 150 qualified travel buyers from across the United States and Canada this July, and a limited number of exhibitor opportunities remain available. As momentum continues to build, Africa’s Eden has welcomed the confirmation of Zimbabwe’s participation in the Africa’s Eden North America Roadshow 2026, reinforcing the country’s commitment to expanding tourism opportunities in one of Southern Africa’s most important long-haul source markets.
In a formal communication to Africa’s Eden, Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry confirmed that it will participate in the multi-city roadshow taking place across the United States and Canada in July 2026. The Honourable Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, will participate during two special destination branding evenings planned for Atlanta and Washington DC. The Ministry will also be represented by Zimbabwe’s Tourism Attaché to the United States, Ms Ropafadzo Dunira, alongside Principal Tourism Officer Mrs Prisca Mazengeza
Zimbabwe is one of a select number of destinations and private sector exhibitors participating in the roadshow, which has been designed to connect Southern African tourism businesses directly with qualified North American travel buyers across multiple cities.
Jillian Blackbeard, CEO of Africa’s Eden, welcomed the announcement.
“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with the Zimbabwe Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry through their participation in the Africa’s Eden North America Roadshow. Zimbabwe continues to demonstrate strong leadership in destination marketing and tourism development, and we are particularly excited to welcome Hon. Barbara Rwodzi to selected events during the programme. North America remains a strategic growth market for our region, and meaningful engagement between public and private sector stakeholders is essential if we are to unlock new opportunities. Zimbabwe’s commitment to investing in these relationships sends a powerful message about the importance of collaboration in building sustainable tourism growth. As Africa’s Eden continues to champion regional cooperation under our philosophy of ‘Leading Tourism, Together’, partnerships such as these help showcase the extraordinary experiences, people and destinations that make Southern Africa one of the world’s most compelling travel regions.”
The Africa’s Eden North America Roadshow will take place from 20–30 July 2026, visiting eight key cities across the United States and Canada: Atlanta, Chicago, Washington DC, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, San Francisco and Denver.
Designed as a highly targeted business-to-business initiative, the roadshow provides Southern African tourism businesses with direct access to qualified travel advisors, tour operators and product managers actively selling Africa. Through pre-scheduled meetings, destination presentations, networking events and educational sessions, exhibitors are able to build relationships, strengthen market presence and generate new business opportunities across the continent’s most valuable long-haul markets.
As part of Zimbabwe’s participation, the Ministry intends to host and brand special networking dinners in Atlanta on 20 July and Washington DC on 22 July, providing additional opportunities to showcase the country’s tourism offering and strengthen relationships with key trade partners.
Africa’s Eden represents eight Southern African destinations: Angola, Botswana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Through a combination of roadshows, travel trade events, marketing initiatives and strategic partnerships, the organisation works to increase market access and strengthen tourism across the region.
The North America Roadshow forms part of Africa’s Eden’s broader mission to connect buyers with authentic, high-quality tourism experiences while promoting collaboration between destinations, tourism businesses and industry stakeholders.
