THE STONEHOUSE BNB UNVEILS COMPREHENSIVE HOSPITALITY TRAINING TIERS

Deep in the heart of the Eastern Highlands, a new initiative is set to redefine service excellence within the Zimbabwean tourism sector. The Stonehouse BnB, a prominent establishment located in the scenic Chimanimani Village, has announced a series of professional hospitality training courses designed to empower the next generation of service industry leaders.

The program is structured into three distinct tiers—Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced—ensuring that individuals at every stage of their career can find a pathway to professional growth.

The curriculum begins with the Foundation Course, scheduled to run from June 10 to June 12. Tailored specifically for beginners, this introductory program focuses on the core pillars of the industry: Guest Service Basics, Communication Skills, and Teamwork. The curriculum offers an accessible entry point for local youth and aspiring professionals looking to break into the hospitality world with a solid theoretical and practical grounding.

Building on these fundamentals, the Intermediate Course will take place between June 16 and June 19. This tier is designed for those looking to refine their existing capabilities. The syllabus covers critical operational areas including Complaint Handling, Food and Beverage Service, and Cultural Awareness. By addressing the nuances of guest interaction and specialized service, the course aims to equip staff with the tools necessary to handle the diverse needs of international and domestic travellers visiting the Chimanimani region.

For seasoned professionals and aspiring managers, the Advanced Course, running from June 21 to June 26, offers a deep dive into high-level industry dynamics. Participants will explore Leadership and Management, Crisis Communication, and Guest Experience Design. This final tier is specifically crafted to inspire visionary leadership and strategic thinking, ensuring that graduates can navigate the complexities of modern lodge management.

A unique aspect of this training initiative is the inclusive approach for learners travelling from outside Chimanimani. The Stonehouse BnB provides shared accommodation and meal stocks, creating a truly immersive environment.

In an innovative twist, participants are responsible for preparing their own meals, a practical exercise designed to foster creativity and genuine teamwork.
