
MARIRANGWE RESTAURANT OPENS AT SUSKWE RESORT, BOOSTING ZIMBABWE’S TOURISM SECTOR
Zimbabwe’s burgeoning tourism sector received another significant boost with the grand opening of the Marirangwe Restaurant at Suskwe Resort in Mutoko on November 15, 2024. Suskwe Resort, a renowned hospitality group with establishments in Gweru and Mutoko, continues to expand its footprint and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.
The Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, graced the occasion and emphasized the restaurant’s potential to create employment opportunities. With over 50 jobs already generated and plans to engage up to 1,000 people through its supply chain, the Marirangwe Restaurant exemplifies tourism’s ability to drive economic development and uplift local communities.
The Minister also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Patron of Tourism, Auxillia Mnangagwa, in promoting Zimbabwean gastronomy on the global stage. Her unwavering dedication has played a pivotal role in elevating the country’s culinary heritage and attracting international tourists.
The opening of the Marirangwe Restaurant aligns with Zimbabwe’s vision of attaining upper-middle-income status by 2030.
