HARARE UNITES AFRICA ON AFRICA DAY

Harare’s Heritage Village became the vibrant epicentre of African unity and heritage on May 26, 2025, as Zimbabwe proudly hosted the 62nd Africa Day celebrations. The event saw the esteemed Diplomatic and Expatriate Cluster gather for a colourful and immersive experience, drawing Ambassadors, Diplomats, and dignitaries for a rich display of continental solidarity.

The celebration was graced by the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, underscoring the significance of the occasion. The Ministry played a pivotal role, delighting guests with a mouthwatering selection of Zimbabwean dishes. This culinary showcase not only satisfied palates but also highlighted Zimbabwe’s rich gastronomic heritage, actively supporting the ongoing “Experience Zimbabwe” campaign.

The event blossomed into a dynamic showcase of African cultures, with various Embassies passionately presenting their traditional foods, intricate cultural displays, and captivating live performances. The air was filled with the rhythmic beats of African music, the evocative power of poetry, the grace of traditional dance, and the vibrancy of African fashion.
