ESCAPE TO THE WILD FOR HEROES AND DEFENCE FORCES HOLIDAY

With the Heroes and Defence Forces Holiday fast approaching, the Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Authority (ZIMPARKS) is extending a special invitation to the public to “Escape to the Wild.” This timely promotion encourages Zimbabweans to celebrate the upcoming holiday by immersing themselves in the nation’s stunning parks and experiencing the thrill of a safari adventure. The initiative is a call to honour the country’s heroes and defence forces by enjoying a holiday in harmony with nature.

The campaign highlights a diverse array of activities available at Zimbabwe’s national parks, catering to all ages and interests. Whether it’s a classic safari game drive, as seen with a joyful group of people in a ZIMPARKS Land Cruiser in Hwange National Park, or more active pursuits, there’s something for everyone. The promotional material lists options like hiking, birdwatching, fishing, and scenic viewing for those who prefer a more relaxed experience. For the adventurous, there are opportunities for quad biking, canoeing, and camping. The parks also offer ideal settings for family-friendly activities like picnicking and a traditional “braai.”

This initiative is a strategic effort by ZIMPARKS to promote domestic tourism and make the country’s natural heritage accessible to all citizens during a significant national holiday. Zimbabwe is offering a wide range of engaging and memorable experiences, with the aim to strengthen the connection between Zimbabweans and their environment. The campaign, which uses the hashtags #VisitZimParks and #Heroes&DefenceForces, is a powerful reminder to celebrate the holiday by exploring the beauty and adventure that the country’s wildlife parks have to offer.
