Emirati Women Travel Bloggers Gear Up for Zimbabwe Adventure
Get ready for a whirlwind tour of Zimbabwe! A group of female travel bloggers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are arriving today, Friday, April 12th, for a nine-day familiarisation tour packed with stunning scenery, wildlife encounters, and cultural immersion.
Their exciting itinerary kicks off in the capital city, Harare, where they’ll be welcomed by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Barbara Rwodzi, and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority personnel. After getting acquainted, they’ll head to the Eastern Highlands town of Nyanga on Saturday for a taste of Zimbabwe’s thrilling outdoor activities. Ziplining, skywalking, and nature walks are just a few things on the itinerary for these explorers.
Next up will be Hwange National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Here, the bloggers will embark on game drives with the chance to spot Africa’s Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. After an exhilarating morning in Hwange, they’ll continue their journey to Victoria Falls, the Smoke that Thunders.
Victoria Falls promises an unforgettable experience. The bloggers will delve into the lush rainforest surrounding the falls, explore vibrant local markets, and tantalise their taste buds with gourmet dishes at the Lookout Cafe. But that’s not all! This adventurous group will also have the option to take their hearts racing with high-wire activities like gorge swinging, flying fox, and a free-fall slide.
For those seeking even more adrenaline-pumping options, there’s the chance to add Flight of the Angels, elephant interactions, bungee jumping, and bridge slides to their itinerary. To round off the day, they’ll be treated to a traditional dinner and drum show at The Boma, offering a glimpse into Zimbabwean culture.
The adventure continues on Thursday with a visit to the Cheetah and Elephant Conservation Project, a heartwarming experience dedicated to protecting these magnificent creatures. In the afternoon, they’ll return to Harare for a final day filled with cultural discoveries. The iconic Dominic Benhura Gallery and the Balancing Rocks are on the menu before a farewell meeting with the Ministry of Tourism officials.
By Friday evening, after a whirlwind nine days, these Emirati globetrotters will be departing Zimbabwe with suitcases full of memories and hearts brimming with the magic of this captivating destination.
