ACZ USHERS NEW BOARD ERA AS RECONSTITUTION TAKES EFFECT

The Airports Company of Zimbabwe (Private) Limited (ACZ) has officially reconstituted its Board of Directors, effective 21 August 2026, following a round of appointments made by the Minister responsible for Transport and Infrastructural Development, in consultation with the Office of the President.

The reconstitution marks a significant moment in the organisation’s governance calendar, bringing a blend of continuity and fresh leadership to the entity charged with overseeing Zimbabwe’s airport infrastructure and aviation development.

Farewell to Outgoing Members

ACZ extended its heartfelt gratitude to three outgoing board members whose terms have now come to a close: Dr. T.J. Mabvure, Ms. T.J. Nhewede, and Mrs. R. Dihwa. The trio departs after completing their final terms, with the organisation crediting them with invaluable leadership that helped steer ACZ through a critical period of its institutional development. Their contributions, the company noted, leave a lasting imprint on its strategic direction.

Welcoming a New Chapter

Stepping into the board are three incoming members, each appointed for a four-year tenure: Dr. Heriet K. Mhondiwa, Rtd. Commissioner Clement Munoriarwa, and Engineer Natalie C. Musvaire. Their arrival is being framed as the start of an ambitious new chapter for the organisation, bringing additional depth of expertise across governance, security and engineering disciplines to the boardroom table.

Providing an element of continuity at the helm, Advocate Tichaona John Muhonde has been re-appointed as Board Chairperson, commencing a second four-year term. His continued leadership is expected to anchor the board’s strategic priorities as new members settle into their roles.
